Football Tipster Scams

In my quest for football information I have encountered some extraordinary scams,
perpetrated on unsuspected football punters surfing the internet. I have to admit,
I have lost almost £6,000 to various football scams and poor advisory services
before finding my current sources. As a result I have vast experience and great
knowledge of this subject. You may be surprised to hear that 90% of the paid
tips sites are pure scam (!!!) as nowadays anyone can launch a site with false
claims and fake records.

Here are the scams I have uncovered over the years.

False Updating Scam.
Bet releases appear on the web every day and results are promptly updated.
Tips cost
usually $500 or more (some of these scammers may even charge
2,500 EUROS for 1
or 2 tips). However, and here’s the trick – they have
no subscribers so almost every bet
is listed as a winner and the advertised strike
rate is usually between 85-95%. Once you
subscribe, the strike rate drops
dramatically and the insider tips will turn out to be merely
amateur guesses.
These websites need to scam just 1 punter per month to make a nice

“business profit”.

Two Sets Of Bets.
Websites operating this type of scam have two or more different services
(2 or more sets
of bets), i.e Gold tips and Platinum tips, and needless to say results
for both services are
too good to be true. Here’s the trick – while Gold tips costs
$100, Platinum tips are
10 times more expensive at $1,000. Naturally punters opt
for $100 service which starts
to go through a bad patch the moment they subscribe,
but the more expensive service
seems to be very reliable and provide the goods.
Again they need to lure just 1 punter
each month to subscribe to their high-end
service to make reasonably good money.

Bets That Cost An Outrageous Amount Of Money.
Never pay big money for tips. Usually the more money a site asks for, the bigger
the chance it is a scam. Some sites are audacious enough to ask for hundreds
and thousands for 1-3 tips and some of the scammers I dealt with charged £50,000
for an email course!!! It’s just incredible. Reasonable payment for good well
researched
tips are £20 to £50, or less. Never pay more than that.

Websites That Advertise Fixed Matches, Dirty Tips or 100% Inside
Information.
Skip sites that advertise fixed, sure, secret, insider, super insider
or whatever called tips,
also sites with "guaranteed" 80-90% success rate.
All this is meant to trick inexperienced
visitors.

Websites That Record Asian Handicap Half Wins As Full Wins And Omit
Losers.
These websites sometimes count only winners and completely disregard
losers. This also
means that as long as they hit a winner the subscriber must pay
for a bet regardless of how
many losers they released prior to a winning bet.
Some websites go even further and actually
advertise fantastic wins despite
providing completely different and usually very poor tips for
their subscribers.

Beware of websites that run “latest releases” and “special releases”
and record all bets together.
Many of these websites may have “Regular
Bets” and also something like
“Special Releases”, or “Special Bets” yet they
show only one set of results. The special bets
are usually so expensive nobody
can buy them – this way they can engineer the results, so
overall the service
appears to be very successful.

Some conmen give different bets and different handicaps for the same
match to different subscribers, or run multiple services that tip different
bets and different handicaps for the same match in order to advertise
winners to their email lists.

Many of the scam websites promise a refund for each losing tip but then
claim they actually offer a full refund only if each tip of the purchased
block of  tips loses, i.e – give a refund only if each of 10 tips bought lose.

Some of the football websites have 3 years’ results, but their domain name
was registered last month!!!
Many sites present winning tips history 2-3 years
backwards, but a quick WHOIS
check reveals their domain registered 1-2 months
ago. Use the Whois-Search to check the domain
creation date.

I strongly recommend using only services that have a reliable history of at
least 5-6 months long.
Skip websites with no address, no contact details, no real
phone number, no company details,
no testimonials, websites claiming 85%, 90%
or even 100% strike rate.

Beware of websites without proper payment processing facilities. If they take
payments only
via Moneybookers, Western Union, or bank transfer - these are
100% pure scams. Many of these
websites simply disappear after taking your
payment, especially big payments.
